knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. Romans 6:6  

We give God praise for today service as we reaffirm our Faith and put the old nature away and as Christ set us free from sin. As The General Secretary of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship Bida Chapter,  Bro. Emmanuel share the word of God,  on a topic: THE ESSENCE OF THE CROSS Jeremiah 9:23-24


He explained the nature of God, that God is the God of Justice and judgement although there is another dimension of love and peace in Him. He said that the Cross is the ancient wisdom of God, where Christ is to come and die on the Cross of Calvary. God sent His only Son, Jesus to die for our sin in order to prove His love for us.

He further explain the Essence of the Cross that the Cross provide for us an excape from His judgement and to His love (Number 21:4), it gives us an experience of the Death of Jesus on the Cross ( Roman 6:6 ).

He said the only way the flesh can be put to death, is through the Cross. The flesh has be in control of man since the beginning but the Mystery of the Cross has brought Redemption and Life through Christ.

He concluded by encouraging the church to put away every sinful nature, put away the flesh and turn to the cross so as to live a life that is pleasing to God.

It was an awesome moment today in God's presence. We believed that we are impacted and we know that we all had something to take home! It was a spirit-filled service full of impactions, intensed worship, praises, and Intercessory prayers. The President of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship Bida, Bro. Shiyigo Emmanuel Zhiya enlightened the congregation on the choices to be made by youths. Today's text was taken from Ecclesiastes 12:1-2; He(The President) admonished youths to remember God in their youthful days, rather than enjoying the pleasure of youthful exorbitance, explaining that the decisions we make yesterday (in the past), and today (presently) will determine our tomorrow(furture). He furtherly adviced that youths should have better knowledge about who they are.
